  4. 1.  DOS COMMAND
  5.    When you return from the DOS command, the screen doesn't have garbage.
  6.  
  7. 2.  KEYBOARD
  8.    An improved keyboard handler is installed.  It allows you to scroll up
  9.    to the previous sentence with the UPARROW key, use the LEFT and RIGHT ARROW
  10.    keys, as well as DELete and ESCape.  All the while, Girlfriend can be
  11.    keeping track of the time, in case she has something important to do.  (See
  12.    Procedure Engine information below.)

  14. 3.  GENERAL SPEED
  15.    All processing has been speeded up by improved utilization of memory and
  16.    fewer disk accesses for program linkage.  Graphics are displayed faster if
  17.    you have an extended memory manager (such as HIMEM.SYS) installed.

  19. 4.  PROCEDURE ENGINE AND SCHEDULER
  20.    Some Personality Kits may now come with a set of procedures.  These allow
  21.    the girl to have certain "canned procedures" she may do around the house
  22.    when you are not busy talking to her.  For example, you may be able to tell
  23.    her to "watch TV" and then sit back and watch her go into the living room,
  24.    turn on the TV, and watch it for a while.  If you want to interrupt her, 
  25.    just start typing and she will respond. When you stop talking to her for 
  26.    about 30 seconds or so, she will continue what she was doing.  It does not
  27.    bother her to be ignored.  Girlfriends produced after the V2.0 Environment
  28.    kit are the first to incorporate these features.  They will probably NOT be
  29.    retrofitted onto Lisa or Suzy.

  31.  5.  DEFINING AND DELETING WORDS
  32.    Synonyms are kept in a separate file from the Vocabulary words.  In V1.5
  33.    it was nearly impossible to add to either of those files.  That has been
  34.    changed in V2.0 to allow the addition of both synonyms and new words.
  35.    "Synonyms" are words which mean almost exactly the same thing as another
  36.    word.  For example, "touch" and "caress" are considered synonymous, even 
  37.    though they have different shades of meaning.
  38.    "New words", on the other hand, are defined as those words which are in the
  39.    same class as other words, but do not have the same meaning.  For example,
  40.    "Dallas" might be defined as a new word, related to "Texas".  They don't
  41.    mean the same thing, but they are related in that Dallas is a part of Texas.
  42.    Another example would be "scratch" as a type of "touch", or "heel" as a part
  43.    of "shoe".
  44.    a. You can now define new synonyms by saying "word1 IS A SYNONYM OF word2".
  45.    b. You can also say "word1 IS A PART OF A word2", for example "a retina
  46.       is a part of an eye".
  47.    c. You can also say "word1 IS A TYPE OF word2", for example, "a chihuahua
  48.       is a type of dog".
  49.    d. You can delete any of the new words defined in b. or c. as follows:
  50.       "DELETE word1" or "FORGET word1" or "FORGET ABOUT word1", etc.  However,
  51.       you cannot delete synonyms.  Just don't use them if you don't like them
  52.       any more, or if you misspelled one.  In an extreme case, you can always
  53.       re-install your environment kit to overwrite the synonym file.
  54.    Caution:  Be careful when defining any new word or synonym which could be
  55.    used as both a noun and a verb.  For example, "Breast" and "Bust" are both
  56.    nouns, but "bust" is also a verb (Did you bust your glasses?).  You can get
  57.    yourself into some funny situations when she uses the wrong meaning of the
  58.    word, as you might guess!

  60.  6.  Many other bugs from V1.5 have been fixed and reply processing enhanced.
  61.    If you want an example, try this under both V1.5 and then V2.0:
  62.    "Who are your parents?" or "Do you kiss?"

  64.  7.  The INSTALL program has been made more bullet-proof and capable of
  65.    handling foreign language versions of MS-DOS.
